Michael Eisner is Counsel in the Entertainment Group at Frankfurt Kurnit where he leverages more than 20 years of experience as an entertainment attorney, business and legal affairs executive, and major talent agency executive. His transactional deal making and legal experience — combined with the unique perspective of having been an artist representative as an agent — make him a go-to advisor for clients on both the business and creative sides of the entertainment industry.
Mr. Eisner advises on virtually every type of entertainment transaction, with a focus on live-action and animated studio and independently financed film and television projects. He negotiates and documents the full range of motion picture and television development, production, financing and distribution agreements, as well as location-based entertainment and merchandise license agreements. Mr. Eisner has represented studios, actors, directors, producers, screenwriters, authors and other rights holders. On the corporate side, he has performed extensive work for Hasbro as lead negotiator on all entertainment-related transactions, including complex rights deals and international co-productions. On the talent side, he has advised individuals ranging from first-time writers and emerging Sundance Film Festival award-winners to well-established, billion dollar-grossing filmmakers.
Prior to joining Frankfurt Kurnit, Mr. Eisner was Senior Vice President and Head of Business & Legal Affairs for Hasbro Studios. He also held executive positions at the William Morris Agency, International Creative Management, and Carolco Pictures.
